The Challenge
This high end event required cool, dehumidified air be supplied to a unique marquee structure, in the height of the Queensland summer. The brief also required Aircon Rentals to collect and remove the condensate from site (some 4,000 litres over a 12-hour period) and provide around-the-clock technical site attendance.
The Solution
Aircon Rentals was instrumental throughout the entire process, from the engineering planning phase to the final commissioning of the cooling system.
The team designed and deployed a chiller and AHU system, with a single length of fabric duct to distribute cool air through the length of the marquee. All equipment was mounted externally and close coupled to minimise the space taken up on site. The condensate was collected into multiple IBC containers and disposed of by and approved waste company.
Our solution ensured that it met the clients brief of the system not only cooling, but also dehumidifying the air introduced into the marquee and removing the condensate responsibly.
The Impact
Aircon Rentals’ innovative solution ensured that the strict installation and commissioning timelines were met on a busy and complex site. The ease of installation and removal, without the need of a crane lift or additional trades also maximised cost and time efficiencies.
The client was most impressed with the conditions inside the marquee, given the high temperatures and humidity experienced on the event day.
