At Aircon Rentals, we are often asked to explain the difference between an Air Purifier and an Air Scrubber. Both pieces of equipment aim to improve indoor air quality, however there are a few key differences that need to be explored, to ensure that you are getting the best fit for your task at hand.
The main difference is an Air Purifier filters and breaks down airborne microbes or particles, whereas an Air Scrubber filters airborne particles, both typically using prefilters, or carbon filters and HEPA filters.
For reference, HEPA stands for High Efficiency Particulate Air.
Air Purifiers
Air Purifiers use one or more filtration and air treatment methods to remove pollutants from the air. All Air Purifiers supplied by Aircon Rentals use HEPA Filtration, which filter air particles down to 0.3 microns in size with a 99,97% efficiency rating. Some of our Air Purifier models use a UV light sterilisation process to breakdown VOC, odour, bacteria, organic matter, and virus microbes at the DNA level.
At Aircon Rentals, we have multiple styles of Air Purifier that can be applied to any situation. Whether is be a large lunchroom area, an orchestra pit, to a small bedroom size office, contact Aircon Rentals to view our range.
Filters and Filter Replacement
Given the nature of the applications that Air Scrubbers and Air Purifiers serve it is recommended that filters be replaced, or cleaned, during scheduled intervals for long term hires or at the end of the hire period.
Filter replacement costs for pre-filters are relatively inexpensive, however carbon and HEPA type filter costs can sometimes be expensive and should be considered when estimating the total cost of hire. Please consult with the Aircon Rentals team to assist you with your specific project requirements.
In summary, Aircon Rentals offers a comprehensive range of equipment to improve air quality, that is available nationally 24/7. Contact the team today to ensure that we assist with the best air filtration system for your project.
